An active member of the Second Life Education community (SLED), AJ brought MSU onto "the grid" with their first island in April of 2007, making MSU New Jersey's first publically available island for a higher education institution. Since that time, the CHSS has added a second island and the College of Education and Human Services has added an island as well.
In 2007, AJ worked with EDUCAUSE in founding the Virtual Worlds Constituent Group and authored the ECAR Research Bulletin "Second Life: Reaching into the Virtual World for Real World Learning". AJ can be found in Second Life each Tuesday moderating the SL Education Roundtable and is the recent author of the EDUCAUSE Review article "Virtual Worlds? 'Outlook Good'"
