Hi folks, here''s the programming rundown this week:

Two slabs of hot wax comin' atcha for the Inside Track. First up is Tzusing's debut LP on L.I.E.S., 東方不敗 [Invincible East], a record that weaves snippets and samples of traditional Chinese instrumentation into a series of bangin' hardware techno cuts inspired by martial arts serials. It'll be followed by Pan Daijing's A Satin Sight, her vinyl debut following 2015's cassette release, Sex & Disease. Daijing's music is loud and blown open, techno the sits on the edge of noise and propels itself towards catharsis.

Monday's Inside Track is some sweet and summery Americana courtesy Durham-based guitarist and singer Jake Xerxes Fussell and his new album What in the Natural World? Fussell uses his deep knowledge of southern folklore to dig up seemingly lost gems of American music to bring back to today’s songbook. With appearances the Nathans of the Paradise of Bachelors universe (Bowles, Salsburg, and Golub) as well as Joan Shelley and Casey Toll, What in the Natural World? may be more developed in orchestration, but never loses grasp on the sweet simplicity of Fussell’s sound. Fussell’s selection of songs proves pointedly timeless and make for a dewy-eyed listen.
