KINGSBURY MANX, "Aztec Discipline" on the Inside Track, Wednesday 9 p.m.
Third full-length from Chapel Hill's finest in laidback psychedelic pop
ups the ante with a few perfect rustic country touches. Talk about
hometown boys done good! Catch members of Kingsbury Manx and a slew of
others at an evening of acoustic performances to benefit Go! Studios this
Saturday, November 8.

NATIONAL SAXOPHONE DAY on the Thursday Night Feature, Thursday 9
p.m.-midnight
This Thursday is National Saxophone Day, so we're going to be spinning the
finest wax and digital media this side of John Coltrane. Tune in for three
skronk-packed hours on the history, implementation, and power of the
saxophone and its myriad varients. From Clarence Clemons to Lora Logic,
big band to bop to bossa nova, and samba to Stravinsky, join us in
celebrating this 175-year-old instrument.

MURDER BALLADS on Hell or High Water, Sunday 1 p.m.-2 p.m.
This week, we'll be covering several North Carolina and various Southern
murder ballads, like "Naomi/Omie Wise," "Tom Dula/Dooley," "Ellen Smith,"
"Lawson Family," and many other traditional murder songs.

-ORANGE COUNTY SPECIAL: traditional and neo-traditional music of the
world, Sunday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
-BROKEN MUSIC: longer, more "difficult" pieces, Sunday 2-3 p.m.
