TINO, "Tino's Breaks 6: Hallowe'en Dub" on the Inside Track,
Wednesday 9 p.m.
To fan your holiday spirits we are happy to feature the latest
installment of breaks, beats and deep bass dabbling out of the vaults of
Tino Corp. stablemates Jack Dangers, Ben Stokes and Mike Powell;
guaranteed to frighten and delighten with spooky samples, creepy sound
bites and deep BASSology.

ORIGINAL INDIAN FIVE, "Vol. 2: Recorded In New York, 1925" on the Inside
Track, Friday 9 p.m.
Second (out of five) volumes to document the complete recorded output of
this obscure Indiana hot jazz combo, which recorded extensively for the
legendary Richmond, Indiana Gennett label in 1924-25. Now available on
audiophile reissue label Jazz Oracle.

CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS on Northern Hemisphere Live, Sunday 5-7 pm.
This week we'll be talking about the forthcoming elections, hopefully
from all sides of the political spectrum.

INSTRUMENTS, "Billions of Phonographs" on the Inside Track,
Monday 9 p.m.
Brainchild of Athens, GA musician Heather McIntosh, and backed by the
cream of the Elephant 6 crop, "Billions of Phonographs" is the first
record by The Instruments. A spooky, winding listen, this delicate
exploration of folk and psychedelia evokes the best work from the E6
Collective. Released by Athens artist collective/record label Orange
Twin, featured guests include Will Cullen Hart and Jeff Mangum.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: This week, the Backyard Barbeque is happy to announce
the official launch of it's own website (which is, nevertheless, still
in development!!!) Currently it's a good way to check the show for the
coming week and to check local club schedules, and we've got some of the
past playlists posted--but the format of the playlist database is likely
to go through a few changes, so bear with us! The current official URL
is: http://www.unc.edu/~jenseits/BBQ/ . We also have an ad-based
shortcut that may be easier to remember (albeit more annoying, due to
ads): http://listen.to/thebackyardbbq .
