YABBY YOU, "Dub It To The Top: 1976-1979" on the Inside Track, Wednesday 9
p.m.
Fantastic 1977 King Tubby-mixed dub treasure from Vivian "Yabby You"
Jackson, originally released as "Yabby You Meets Michael Prophet: Vocal &
Dub." Eight additional tracks, mostly b-side dub versions, make for a
complete package. Excellent sound too.

I-95 SOUTH on the Thursday Night Feature, Thursday 9 p.m.-midnight
Join host Jessica for summer's last road trip, cruising from Maine to
Miami on southbound Interstate 95. Along the way, you'll soak up a local
music scene or two, hear songs about the places that pass you by, and even
make a few detours. Remember, road trip is only as good as the music
coming out of your stereo.

Various Artists, "CHICKEN SESSION: Early Northwest Rockers & Instrumentals
Vol. 2" on the Inside Track, Friday 9 p.m.
Focusing on the late '50s and early '60s, this disc let's us in on the
primordial rocking sound of the Northwest before its garage heyday of the
later '60s. Check out a couple folks who later went on to join the
Sonics, Wailers, and the Ventures, among others. A "pre-Nuggets" delight
from Norton Records.

HELL OR HIGH WATER, Sunday 1-2 p.m.
Tune in for traditional music of the Georgia Sea Islands. From
polyrhythms, to gullah dialects, spirituals, and hambones, you'll get it
all here. Featuring Bessie Jones, John Davis, and others.

FREAKWATER, "Freakwater" on the Classic Inside Track, Sunday 2-3 p.m.
Freakwater's pioneering Appalachian alt country sound finds its way onto
the airwaves this Sunday. And for good reason; their limited-release,
self-titled debut set the standard for the genre and made its mark far
beyond the vibrant scene of their hometown Louisville, KY.

ANDREW HILL, "A Beautiful Day" on the Inside Track, Monday 9 p.m.
Andrew Hill, post-bop pianist best known for his seminal '60s Blue Note
albums, is still at it. Here we've got him recorded live at Birdland in
January 2002 in a large ensemble setting. . Dense, multi-layered
complexity, as any good Hill stuff would be. Includes the talents of
tenor saxman Greg Tardy, bass clarinetist Marty Erlich, and a busload of
others.

Also this week and every week:
-THE INSIDE TRACK: a new release played in full Monday, Wednesday and
Friday, 9 p.m.

Sunday 10 a.m.-1 p.m
