THE MUSIC OF DAVID LYNCH on the Thursday Night Feature, Thursday 9
p.m.-midnight
This week, the Thursday Night Feature brings you the music of director
David Lynch: from his films, inspired by his films, and by the artists
with whom he has worked. We'll also provide information about his movies
and artists' experiences with him. Three hours of a Lynch world, if you
can handle the bizarre beauty.

Joe Giardullo/Joe McPhee/Mike Bisio/Tani Tabbalm, "Shadow and Light" on
the Inside Track, Friday 9 p.m.
"Shadow & Light" features multi-instrumentalists Joe Giardullo and Joe
McPhee backed by the rhythm section of Tani Tabbal and Mike Bisio. The
album was recorded on the morning of September 11, only a hundred miles
from downtown New York City. The session that was captured gives voice to
the collective emotions of four musicians performing at the highest level
of improvisation and their art.

ROCKABILLY & HILLBILLY BOOGIE on Hell or High Water, Sunday 1-2 p.m.
Get your cat clothes on! This week on Hell or High Water, we'll be playing
an hour's worth of Rockabilly and Hillbilly Boogie.

THE BEE GEES, "Main Course" on the Classic Inside Track, Sunday 2-3 p.m.
This week's show features one of the earliest disco recordings, the Bee
Gees' 1975 "Main Course." With their blue-eyed soul career in
decline, the Bee Gees relocated to Miami on the recommendation of Eric
Clapton and recorded this breakthrough platinum record with producer
Arif Mardin. A tasty blend of pop ballads, Philadelphia soul, and four-
to-the-floor dance beats.

THE WAR ON TERROR: EIGHT MONTHS LATER on Northern Hemisphere Live, Sunday
5-7 p.m.
This week, Northern Hemisphere Live will feature a discussion of the
progression and ramifications of America's "War on Terror." Listeners are
invited to call in and participate.

MUSH RECORDS SAMPLER VOL. 3 on the Inside Track, Monday 9 p.m.
Mush Records, a subsidiary of Dirty Loop Music, originally started as a
downtempo instrumental label but has grown to include abstract hiphop,
jazzy grooves, turntablist compositions and even some indie-rockish
stuff. Catch artists like Aesop Rock, Lulu Mushi and cLOUDDEAD on this
label sampler.

Also this week and every week:
-THE INSIDE TRACK: a new release played in full Monday, Wednesday and
Friday, 9 p.m.
-ORANGE COUNTY SPECIAL: traditional and neo-traditional music of the world
Sunday 10 a.m.-1 p.m
-HELL OR HIGH WATER: music from UNC's Southern Folklife Collection Sunday

Accuracy In Reporting) Sunday 4-5 p.m.

from Chapel Hill's finest, as well as older records from N.C. bands of the
past, Sunday 7-8 p.m.
-THE NEW MUSIC SHOW: spotlight on new releases right out of the mail bin,
Sunday 8-9 p.m.
-SPORTS RAP: live UNC sports talk, Sunday 9-10 p.m.
-NEW SCIENCE EXPERIENCE: a live electronic mix, Sunday 10 p.m.-12 a.m.
