A couple changes to this week's schedule:

Acclaimed alt-country singer/songwriter TIFT MERRITT will be making a
live-on air appearance on Hell or High Water
this Sunday at 1 p.m. She and her band the Carbines are performing Dec. 7
& 8 (along with Johnny Irion and Sarah Lee Guthrie) at Old Playmaker's
Theatre on the UNC campus. For more information see
http://www.unc.edu/depts/folklore/tift_press_release.html.

The previously scheduled Classic Inside Track featuring The La's will be
postponed for two weeks in order to pay tribute to Beatle GEORGE HARRISON,
who died this week. Over the next two Sundays from 2-3 p.m., we'll play
Harrison's 1970 triple-album masterpiece "All Things Must Pass" in its
entirety. ATMP features some of Harrison's best loved songs including
"My Sweet Lord," "Isn't It a Pity," and of course the title track. Much of
the material was written during the later days of the Beatles and reflects
how George at times could write music to equal that of the
Lennon/McCartney songwriting team. ATMP was produced by the legendary Phil
Spector and features contributions from Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ginger
Baker, Phil Collins, Billy Preston and Ringo Starr, among others.
