Yeah, SF had a lot of amazing post-punk bands. Besides the ones you mention
- Flipper, Residents, Chrome, Factrix, Vs. - there was Pink Section &
Inflatable Boy Clams, Tuxedo Moon, Units, Wilma, Mutants, Noh Mercy & a bunch
others. I remember buying a Wilma 7" when it came out and absolutely loving
it. They sounded kind of like the Raincoats (because of the folky, quirky,
art punk sound w/violin) but with electronics, and there were practically
zero all-girl bands in the US at that time doing anything like that.
