This month, TCLocal continues Karl North's series on Tompkins
County food production with Part Three, "Seeing County Food
Production as an Integrated Whole." This installment looks at
historical context and interdependencies among the three
agroecosystems (urban, peri-urban, and rural) that must be
combined to provide for local food needs in a future of declining
energy inputs. Future articles in the series will then address
each system in turn. Part Three of the series can be found at
http://tclocal.org/2010/02/visioning_county_food_prod_3.html
