As much as i am for improving sorcery, there is no point in building in a
fallback into it, new spells should be tested against new gcc/g++ and then
the dev can look into the build issues when they arise.
Fallbacks like the one proposed makes for sloppy testing down the road when
people are used to see spells install and progress comes to a halt.
The way it is, you can grep the spells and see which ones are forced to an
older version, if it has a fallback you need to add more to prometheus and
have it collect and report the fall-backs, and and and

I don't like the thought of that at all.
