Now you are on the right track! My thoughts if I just pull them out of
the hat on the fly:
- choice is left to the admin.
- never intended for basic users, should know what your doing (admin users)
- culture here in the SMGL valley is once of cooperation and easy going
- easy of understanding (bash package manager, text based spells)
- low barrier for participation, from spell writting up to sorcery
development.
- non-main stream (really, let't be honest, it ain't for everyone to use
a production machine that has 'sorcery, casting, etc' for commmands)
- open (minded | source | fill-in-the-blank)
(Note that source-based is not listed... )
These are for me the reasons and culture differences that keep me
working with the group that has made Source Mage possible. Whether it
went smoothly, roughly, with ease or with verbal violence, it was allot
of fun for me to develop, lead and use.
Hope this helps?
