actually about 5 or 6 MB when you look at the data files vim puts
in /usr/share

I think from reading all this elvis should stay in the iso_root, jed and
slang
can be removed from iso_root but still selectable as editor from menu and
installed automatically, and vim should be added as editor to the menu and
installed automatically, but aliased/changed to elvis for usage within the
installer.

Does that sound like a good compromise ?

And if jed is removed from iso_root, should it be aliased/changed to nano or
elvis ?
