Hey Morgan; Bean seeds can be different colors from year to year as well.
Sometimes it can be caused by growing the same variety in two different soils
and climates. The first year's harvested seeds for Velvet Sea Beans didn't
look anything like the beans I started with (size or color). This is also
true with Dragon's Tongue as well. A lot of other people at SSE also complain
on this topic as well. I wouldn't worry about it.
