Honestly, I expect they do...my real question is, would red bean seeds become black over time, say 10 years?
I've been struggling with cataloging my seeds for years. At some point during the year I get tired of it and shove everything not cataloged back in the freezer and give up for the year. I only just noticed I had seeds of the same thing from the same company purchased ten years apart. One set is black, the other (newer) is red. I suspect the company just changed what they sell under that name as the type of bean you get from that umbrella name varies greatly. Both germinated, I'll have an answer at the end of the season if I end up with red seeds from one plant and black seeds from the other, but I thought I'd ask while I was thinking about it.
