This is EXCELLENT. I just finished listening to it on Here and Now. It
explains the relationship between manifestations of climate change,
soil quality and the ability for us to produce food over the long haul. It
is well worth listening to. It is consistent with what Elaine Ingham teaches
and goes into considerable detail about process that occur in the soil and
how extreme weather, floods and soil erosion affect that.
Audio for this presentation will be available soon.

The health of the Earth's soil is crucial to storing carbon. In a recent
report by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change,
scientists revealed that the Earth's soil is being lost 10 to 100 times
faster than it is forming.

*Here & Now*'s Jeremy Hobson speaks with one of the scientists, *Louis
Verchot*, about the state of the soil and how its impacting carbon storage.

*This segment aired on September 20, 2019. Audio will be available soon.*
