I am quite racist, in the sense that I have unbidden racist things pop into my mind and thus I scrutinize my mind heavily. Not because I want to oppress but because I no longer want to be the oppressor. If you think it's because I Want to think people of color are lesser, than you don't understand my meaning.
On a gentler note, my husband and I were talking about this whole string and he said "Well, everyone feels defensive at first"
-spoken from a man who was Seriously Annoyed every time I pointed out how racist he is, but now looks for it himself and helps other white people see theirs.

Lawrence and Darrel, there could possibly be a non-racist white person who

I see racism dripping from all of those things.
What an insult to all the intelligent, good, people in America. How do you
manage to come up with such opinions?
As a white mother I desperately don't want my child to be racist, but she
is, as I am.
You admit to being racist after all this?
So, when do you plan to change to a clear thinking person who respects and
benefits from cultural diversity.
Nitpicking to the degree you have expressed about racist tendencies in
society, real or imagined, would lead to regimentation bordering fascism or
communism.
Funny thing. Angela Merkel said to the media that cultural diversity just
doesn;t work in Germany. They they led the pack in accepting refugees from
the Middle East.
Knowing that we're swallowing culture with all its training is the only wayto pick out and address how that training is deficient.
I don't worry about any of that, much less swallow culture dripping with
racism.
