Hi Antonio,

I plant from seed, but you need to find open pollenated fruit t get good results. Look for a large papaya. "Solo" papayas are hybrid and will not produce true to parent. Also, Uiversity of Hawaii used to sell seed, but their seed stock has allegedly been contaminated by GMO pollen.

Good luck!

Hi
does anybody have experience in propagating papaya (carica papaya) from seed?
I tried germinating papaya seeds form a purchased fruit (right after buying it) but with no results
Any ideas/comments/tips?
All the best
Antonio
