For the first time in many years, a permaculture certification course is
being offered among the beauty of the Finger Lakes in New York State, USA.

This course's schedule is arranged to encourage those who cannot take off
more than a week but still want to take an intensive course covering both
fundamentals and the design practicum by offering instruction during an
eight-day session in July, and two 2-day sessions during the Labor Day and
Columbus Day weekends.

Darrell Frey of the Three Sisters Farm and the designer/builder of the
bioshelter (http://www.bioshelter.com) will lead the course. This design
intensive will focus on permaculture practice in the Northeastern climate
and will take place at the Cayuta Sun Homestead, founded less than two years
ago. The land, nestled into the alpine valley of Cayuta Lake, is a mix of
abandoned farm fields, forest, and an incredible, ecologically-rich swamp.

Just 15 miles southwest of Ithaca, NY, the course will also benefit from a
progressive and socially diverse group of local participants who have made
the Finger Lakes (and especially Ithaca) a magnet for those who research,
practice and promote sustainable living.

If you have considered taking a permaculture certification course... if you
live in the northeastern United States... if you'd like to participate in an
intensive community of learning... please visit our web site for more
information: http://www.cayuta.org.

Please do not hesitate to contact Michael Burns using the above contact
information if you have any questions. We really look forward to the arrival
of this year's participants... and hope that you are excited about the
course as well.
