Sustainable Development for ALL
May 16 to 18
A course in participative, inclusive planning and decision making
processes.

While many people are concerned about sustainable development, it is
difficult to find truly successful examples. From the World Bank, to
local NGOs, from United Nations to poor urban community groups, there is
a awareness that we need to design better ways to plan, implement and
monitor development. But what tools do we have???? Everyone interested
in sustainable development believes that it is important to involve the
local people in the decision making process, but how?

This course will present the basics of one tool that can encourage
community participation and development -the AIPYD program (Accion
Inclusivo por Planificaccion y Desarrollo). Based in part in personal
experience and part in extensive research this program is a useful tool
for anyone involved in community work, urban planning or sustainable
development.

The course is certified by the Instituto de Permacultura de Mexico, and
will be held near Jiutepec, Morelos. The cost of $800 (pesos) includes
accommodation, all meals and the tuition.
