TAS Judy Jackson Email: sophie.muller@dchs.tas.gov.au
SA Dean Brown email: minister@dia.sa.gov.au
ACT Michael Moore Email: moore@dpa.act.gov.au
And send one also to the federal health minister:
Sen Grant Tambling Email: peter.mcmahon@health.gob.au

Dear Minister
I strongly urge you and the other Health Ministers to:
- ban all GE foods not shown to benefit food buyers
- label all GE foods that may enter our food supply
- adopt the strongest labelling standards among our trading partners in Europe and Japan
- tell ANZFA to reject Monsnato's six applications, which are poorly tested and impose risks without benefits
ANZFA requires few tests of GE foods for possible health impacts. Only two of Monsanto's six new foods were tested on lab animals, and the four herbicide-tolerant foods may contain increased chemical residues.
Possible health impacts make labels essential. Only with labels can we protect our health and report any illness.
I am one of the big majority of Australians who want all new foods labelled. The 1993 Department of Industry and Science survey showed 89% want labelling and 88% of 1,000 in a Channel 9 poll in October want GE foods labelled too.
Please reply to my letter.
Yours sincerely,
Signed:
