What is The Forum? A meeting of Maryland horse community members to discuss the present state of the industry and plan for its future.
Who's attending? Everyone! The 2009 Forum had over 300 horse people.
When is it? August 7th from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. with a reception and film screenings hosted by
The Equiery from 4-5 p.m.
Why have a booth? Because this is your opportunity to showcase your association to Maryland's leadership - and your opportunity to be part of the discussion which will help to shape the future of the Maryland horse industry!
What if I want to go, but I don't want to have a booth? Or what if I reply too late to get a space? No problem! Register to attend today - it is FREE and it includes continental breakfast and lunch! Any number of your members and/or representatives can attend. Encourage all your people to come, to make sure your voice is heard. You can bring with you a supply of informational materials to leave at display tables specially set up for Maryland equestrian associations.
You do not want to miss the third Maryland Horse Forum! The Forum is the equestrian community's chance to discuss anything and everything about the industry, to identify our greatest challenges and to brainstorm creative solutions. This year's Forum features three outstanding industry leaders: Patti Colbert, chair of the American Horse Council national marketing alliance, Steve Day, President and CEO of Dover Saddlery, and Todd Gralla, global designer of horse parks, including the recent Equestrian Olympic venues in London.
In past forums, the Maryland horse industry was afforded an opportunity to voice its hopes and concerns to the Governor, other public officials and policy makers and fellow members of the equestrian community regarding how to lead Maryland's 87,000 horses into the future. In 2014 the Maryland Horse Forum will assess how the industry has progressed and how it can move forward.
