I have been approached about attending a Safety Day, in Northern
Indiana.
I'd love to help these folks, however we are over 3 hours away, I'd like to
find a team closer to them.

NEWSAR's website is mostly down at the moment but the
summer 2009 newsletter
(http://www.newsar.us/newsletters/NEWSARSummer09.pdf) has info about a
wonderful SAR training weekend and a photo of one SAR person on a
horse. That was September 2009; don't miss 2010!

The 2010 VA SAR Conference offers exception classes
and will be a wonderful learning experience for all search and rescue
responders. MSAR courses will be taught by TROTSAR Mounted Team and CSAR
Mounted Unit members. An on site MSAR camp will be on display
throughout the VA Conference, so stop and say hello. This event is
open to all SAR team members.
