Hands down, Jolly's Garden Shoes! Been wearing the closed-backed fashion shoe for 12+ years. Easy to slip on and off, sturdy, waterproof. Unfortunately, Jolly's went out of business during the pandemic, so only limited stock is still available. However, several of its styles have been picked up by other European manufacturers. Sal at DeIanni Imports is a great guy to work with. He imports several similar brands. I stocked up with what I could so haven't yet tried the other brands but will definitely do so once my current stash wears out. This is my *go to* daily shoe.

Subject: Re: [Market-farming] Summer farm footwearI've been pleased with my Sloggers Women's Rain & Garden Shoes. They are waterproof, comfortable, enough support, hold up well for multiple seasons, and if one chooses a light color, not too hot (even in tropics) despite the nonbreathing material.

I'm so happy to see activity on this list again. Back when I was just getting my farm start in 2008 this was always a huge resource.
Right now I'm wondering what everyone's favorite footwear for the summer is? I believe this group turned me on to Keen sandals which I wore for years but the company's quality is not what it used to be and my last two pairs started to fall apart just after a month of use. I have tried some other brands with similar styles to Keen but I'm not super happy with any of them.

I grow tomatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, tomatillos, garlic, and vegetable seedlings. Most days I don't use any heavy equipment so I've been safe wearing sandal type shoes. I'm located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where the summers are hot and humid.
