broccolini is another name for rapini...an Italian green in the cole family. Tremendous marketing posibilities because rapini is getting a lot of press lately for all those good greens health benefits. Easier to grow than broccoli because you cut the shoots; rapini doesn't head up. In Northern Illinois it sells for 1.99 an 8 ounce bunch...crunch your yield numbers on that. I wouldn't market it as an asparagus wannabe. Give your customers a recipe for stir-fry and talk up the health aspect.
