Ted, Thanks for your thank you note. As slow as I am about getting stuff done, the dahlias are usually up by the time I put the netting over the top. Then it is a matter of how to get it down a bit, rather than moving it up with them. But it seems that if I can get it stretched out at about 2 feet above the ground, the dahlias will grow up through it and have enough support. I am especially pleased with the Karma dahlias that I got through the Gloeckner special last year. They overwintered (Zone 6 or 7) and I am now cutting them again. Nice long stems all summer.
