If you are referring to metal T posts, there is another kind of one piece jack (no chains) that works like a charm, designed JUST for T posts. Even a child can use it (I know because I can, and I am VERY uncoordinated). Takes very little strength. Costs about $30 and worth twice that!!!

A Hi-Lift jack (available at most hardware or farm supply stores) with a short loop of chain with a hook on one end.

Didn't someone have a tool to remove stakes? Not from my vampire heart, but
those long green ones I've been using to prop up my tomatoes. The soil is as
hard as my heart!!!!!! I need help!
