Are you close to Eureka Springs? I have a 90+ year-old cousin who
lives there (in the best of health so far), and I need to make a
pilgrimmage in the next year or so. When I finally make the trip I
want to see Grumpy Gene and a friend who lives in Springdale.
As for earthquakes, you're pretty far from the know faults though I
should look at the maps produced during the siting work for a nuclear
facility that I worked on for southern Illinois. As I recall, southern
Indiana has more risk though a big quake (of the 1812 variety) would
be felt all over the Midwest because of soil overburden.
