I don't know about that, just know we did down in Sonoma County which has the most tenacious, sticky, EVIL red clay in the world <g> We use the old dry wall under the rabbit cages because it keeps the odor way down. Then when we scraped up the rabbit "pellets," we scooped sheetrock and all and it went into the compost heap. Worked great!

In Az we had mostly clay soils. Gypsum was used to
"loosen" the soil to increase water penetration. I
never could find out if the the gypsum in drywall was
the same as agricultural. In other words if you had
leftover drywall could you break it up and put it in
the soil or was the chemistry different than
agricultural gypsum?
