Well, we have an *evil* pitbull (Hurricane Cali) who's a house potato <g> And we have a hound (Tuff-Enuf Mugwump) who has the face of angel and the disposition of an alligator with PMS who is also a house potato. Both dogs were rescues as puppies and had a lot of problems (one from a drug house where they fed the dogs drugs and the other literally run over by two cars at 3 months) so never ended up outside.

I'll have to look at the archieves as we want to expand the orchard and the blooming beasts have taken to pulling the circles of welded wire off the trees. These deer are too smart for their own good, well or too hungry.

Lynda, who wishes she could have afforded to stay on the coast where there is enough food for the deer without them tearing up gardens!

Are you unable to let dogs run free at night?

Are you aware of my chicken moat design? See The Mother Earth News
article archives.

Fence lying flat to the ground but held up six to twelve inches or
attached and leaning out to the ground is a lot of work and uses a
lot of space at the outside perimeter of the garden fence but would
be my final choice.
