No kidding. I grew up in a sandy area: one day when I was about 18 my
dad and I (he was in his early 50s) put in a quarter mile of fences
posts. So when I moved a bit south onto heavy clay soil I was
astonished to find that I could dig maybe a posthole a day, maybe two
if I started early and allowed for a rest break. Okay, I was older,
but not that much less able. I covet an auger for my Gehl that will
dig postholes.
