Dear Permaculture friends, I am happy to share that we are currently accepting applications for this year’s Master Composter volunteer training. Below is a brief description with links to the application and more information. The application deadline is Monday, January

29 MEETS: (10) Thursday evenings, 6:00
– 8:00pm, from February
15 – May
2 (no class March 28, or April
4) Classes will be held in person at CCETC, 615 Willow Ave unless it becomes necessary to hold a class over Zoom. Help reduce waste, protect the environment, and improve gardens by teaching others to compost in Tompkins County!
Join other enthusiastic volunteers for 10 in-depth, weekly classes, and ~2 hours/week of practical learning outside of class. Classes cover a variety of compost and education topics that
will prepare you to become a compost educator
in Tompkins County. Training
outside of class includes hands-on composting, assisting at events, attending field trips, researching compost topics, and creating a compost mini presentation.
After training, use your new compost know-how and teaching experience to help others in the community. Training classes will be held every Thursday evening, 6:00 – 8:00pm, from February
15 to May 2. To accommodate
school breaks,
classes will not be held on March
