High Density Crops for Your Garden

Tuesday, April 8, 6:30-8:30pm

@ Cornell Cooperative Extension, 615 Willow Ave, Ithaca

Learn how to grow crops in your garden that are easy to grow and will feed you next winter, such as dried beans, dried corn, soup peas (similar to chickpeas), soup beans, and root crops like potatoes, leeks, carrots and parsnips. The workshop will include demonstrations of grinding corn into cornmeal for polenta and baking, as well as threshing and winnowing black beans harvested last fall. Pre-registration is required;  $5-$10/person self-determined sliding scale fee.  For more information or to register call 272-2292, or email Chrys Gardener at cab69 AT cornell.edu
