May I recommend -- especially for those on the List who feel themselves to be
novices
in matters Pauline -- the brief but rewarding overview of Pauline studies
entitled
(appropriately enough" "Pauline Studies" by Victor Paul Furnish that appears
on pp.
321-350 in _The New Testament and Its Modern Interpreters_, edited by Epp and
MacRae
(Fortress and Scholars Presses, 1989).

I would also recommend for this same group Charles Cousar's _The Letters of
Paul_
(Abingdon, 1996).

Speaking of Furnish, does any one here know him well enough to prevail upon
him to
accept my invitation to him to join C-P?

Yours,

Jeffrey Gibson
