Not if we follow E. Kasemann who in his ZNW article "Die Legitimitat des
Apostles"
(Vol. 35 [1942/43]) argues that possessing the "signs of an apostle"
involved being
able to perform exorcisms. Nevertheless, the significance of this role does
seem to
be downplayed by Paul.
