For what it’s worth, Rom 1:19, in speaking about another divine revelation, uses language similar to the EN + dative of indirect object in Gal 1:16. Rom 1:19 – TON GNWSTON TOU QEOU FANERON ESTIN EN AUTOIS,
Note how the second clause uses simply AUTOIS without the preposition, underscoring the point made previously that the EN EMOI of Gal 1:16 is equivalent EMOI alone (with perhaps more emphasis). John Dickson |
