And here we have what I think is one of the biggest destroyers of the public
domain. I would hope it was an unintended consequence, but one side of me
wonders.

So, I know this is not the domain of the Creative Commons, but is anyone
interested in discussing off list (setting up another list to discuss) ways
to change the law such that the default for "non-marked" works is some form
of copyleft/sharealike license instead of all rights reserved?

I am very interested in at least persuing discussions for a while.
