The AIfIA-announce newsletter is published every other
week (pretty much) and features news about what's new
with AIfIA and with our partner sites.

So let's get to the news!

---- WHAT'S NEW WITH AIFIA -- http://www.aifia.org ----

sponsored by the AIfIA. March 21, 2003 in Portland,
Oregon at the ASIS&T IA Summit.

Architecture. See what 60 information architects have
to say about the future of the discipline, the
profession, and the web.
--> SEE MORE -- http://aifia.org/pg/future_of_information_architecture.php

4) In the news: AIfIA was mentioned (along with several
of our Leadership Council members) in a recent article
in the Online Journalism Review.

---- WHAT'S NEW WITH OUR PARTNERS ----

-- BOXES AND ARROWS -- http://www.boxesandarrows.com/

Two good recent Boxes and Arrows articles:

1) HTML Wireframes and Prototypes -- All Gain and No
Pain: Julie Stanford discusses the
sometimes-controversial practice of creating wireframes
and prototypes in HTML and debunks some of the myths.

2) Printing the Web: Despite predictions to the
contrary, it doesn't seem that the advent of networked
information sharing has reduced human consumption of
paper. In fact, given the amount of printouts modern
offices and homes produce, one is inclined to say that
even MORE paper is generated today than ever before.
James Kalbach provides tips for making your pages
print-friendly.
