[permaculture] google satellite images

I have spent time on different Indian reservations.Many have sacred places.I zoomed in on one and could not see anything on google.Can sovereign entities deny access to google viewing?

The altitude of the satellite is fixed.  So if the image came from the
same satellite, there is only one explanation that I'm aware of:
government regulation forbids higher resolution. Usually for some
perceived security concern.
