However, you are right that a phonetic spelling of the varieties of 
English would seem to be different languages. I've taught English 
to many nationalities and to most of my students ears they *are* different 
languages.

I would be really interested in hearing you pronouncing flrt wrs etc. 
without a schewa. It's phonetically impossible.
I have lots of American friends and I have never heard your claimed 
pronunciation of women. Women is pronounced 'wimin' not 'wumin'.
