LMB, you can't talk about begging the question. You started by asking
detractors of the DH to read P. Well, that begs the question of what P might
be. In fact these detractors presumably don't believe that P exists at all,
certainly not as a separate document, though they might accept it as a
distinct genre with perhaps a distinct origin.

Take a first hand look at what is called P. Jeffrey Tigay has
written on the issue you wish to address. I don't recall the
titles. But to call it "fancy" is to beg the question. I should
think that Mosaic authorship is fancy. But I was directing attention
to the text.
