*Happy Halloween from Witchville Co-op!*
We love Halloween around here and hope you have a fun and scary one planned!
We've still got Jack-o-lanterns in stock if you haven't gotten one and the
most delicious apples for bobbing if you're into that sort of thing!
On Saturday, kids in costume will receive a special candy treat at the
Hospitality desk, so bring your little ones on by!
One more word on Apples. If you haven't been eating them, please get right
on it! It is apple season and I haven't had as bad apple yet. I have been
eating one or two a day for the past few weeks and finding them delightful
EVERY time! Please do not miss out on apple season.

By Owner Request from Niki Nash, grocery Merchandising Manager!*
Hi faithful email readers! I’m starting a new section of the Wheatsville
email that is dedicated to promoting products that we’ve brought in as a
result of owner requests. These are items that you, the membership, have
said are tasty and you can’t live without em’!
This week, I’d like to highlight MimicCreme.
MimicCreme is the non-dairy, non-soy, gluten-free substitute for dairy cream
that is both tasty and healthy. The main ingredients are almonds and
cashews. You can use MimicCreme in any recipe that calls for cream (sauces,
gravies, crepes, pancakes, muffins, cakes) and there’s no conversion to
worry about. One cup of dairy cream = One cup of MimicCreme. It is also
delicious in coffee. Wheatsville is now carrying the unsweetened MimicCreme
in the non-dairy beverages section of the aisles (by the soymilk) not in the
dairy cooler. Try some in your winter baking and Thanksgiving meals and let
us know what you think! http://mimiccreme.com
As always, thanks for your feedback and input regarding what products you
want to see in the store!

*Vosges “Mo’s Bacon Bar”:*
Salty sweet and then some. You’ve got to go pretty far to beat the flavor of
slightly salty chocolate. That being said, it’s still hard to believe that
someone thought it was a good idea to put bacon in a chocolate bar. But this
idea actually works surprisingly well. Think salty smoky sweet. It’s a
special kind of treat for that time when chocolate and peanut butter just
won’t do. You can find them in the candy section at Wheatsville and read
more at http://www.vosgeschocolate.com/category/candy_bars_chocolate_chipsJustin

*Happy Halloween from your Wheatsville Deli!*
In case you have not yet delighted in the offerings of the food bar, let me
introduce you… The cold side features tons of fresh and tasty salad fixins,
running the gamut from the usual – mesclun greens, baby spinach, cherry
tomatoes and shredded carrots – to the extreme – vegan Mexican chocolate
pudding, house-made garlic croutons, vegan bacon bits and edamame! Available
every day from 9am to 9pm, grazing the salad bar makes for a quick and
healthy lunch! In addition to our classic Cashew-Tamari and Cilantro-Lime
salad dressings, the salad bar also holds two newbies: our homemade Creamy
Peppercorn Ranch and Red Wine Vinaigrette!
The hot bar is open from 11am to 2pm for lunch service, and again from 4pm
to 7pm for dinner. Get a full meal like Three-Cheese Lasagna with a side of
house-made Italian Sausage or Vegan Broccoli Mac & Cheese with Garlic Bread!

Vegetable Curry!
Also on the food bar, and available in small and large sizes from 11am to

Grove’s lavender and fennel pollen dusted Purple Haze goat cheese, or
Cowgirl Creamery’s pungent, ripe Red Hawk! – and you have the beginnings of
an unforgettable evening!
This week is your last chance to sample our October specials, like our
Peanut Butter Banana Dream Smoothie – just what Elvis would have ordered if
he’d left Graceland once in a while! Two great tastes that taste great
together, bananas and PB are the perfect healthy combo of salty and sweet –
all you need is a straw, so try one today!
This is also your last chance to grab our tasty Salsa of the Month –

sun-dried tomatoes and local honey for a smoky-sweet sensation! The
fluorescent red glow of this salsa is all natural and absolutely gorgeous!
