Red Hat will be offering a security presentation followed by question
and answer session on Thursday Jan. 18th, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
in 08 Peabody.
Ovidio DeJesus, a new Red Hat Government Solutions Architect, will be
presenting. Barring any last minute complications, the presentation will
include the following topics:
1) Open Source security foundations
2) Exec Shield -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exec_Shield
3) SE Linux -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SE_Linux
4) Security Best Practices
5) References to Security documents, security course options, etc.
Light snack to be provided by Red Hat.
