Masters-Aged Ultimate Players:

Are you or will you be 33 by the end of the year?

Do you want to be a part of North Carolina's Premier Masters Ultimate Team?

Boneyard is entering its fifth season, having been to UPA Nationals in two of the last three seasons, and finishing third in the Mid-Atlantic Region last year.

The Masters Division is getting more competitive each year, so Boneyard is looking for the best players we can find to keep up with our rivals. We are expanding our search for talent to beyond the Triangle and implementing a new philosophy and a new strategy for the season.

Our New Philosophy

* We will select the best 25 players we can find from wherever they are located.

* We will not let geographic distance be a barrier to fully participating with the team.

* We will keep ourselves fresh for the run to Nationals.

* We will cut down on the possibility of injuries.

Our New Strategy

* We will not wear ourselves out by having twice weekly practices like last year.

* We will practice for Regionals and Nationals by participating in the following tournaments (plus maybe one more):

Date Tournament Location
June 7 Los Invitational Holly Springs
July 18/19 Queen City Tune-Up Charlotte
Aug 1 / 2 Furniture City Shoot-Out High Point
Sept ? Sectionals (TBD) TBD
Oct 3 /4 Regionals Upperville, VA
Oct 29-Nov1 Nationals Sarasota, FL

Boneyard's strength is our hustle and our conditioning, so it will be important for anyone who wants to play with us to be in great shape for these tournaments. For those who are in the triangle area and are interested in a weekly team event, we will have track workouts at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham. These workouts are optional and each player must take care to keep himself injury-free for the important UPA Series.

If you want to be a part of Boneyard this season, please email me at mark.britt at sas.com<mailto:mark.britt at sas.com>. This includes anyone who was on the squad last year. All tournaments prior to Sectionals will be considered "try-outs". Our final roster for the UPA Fall Series will be determined in late August.
