Hi all, sorry to abuse the listserv, but I'm in something of a pickle and
exploring every avenue possible to solve it....

sorry if you get this message more than once. i'm looking for a foster home
for my dog Daisy. because of my accident in may (if you don't know about
this check here <http://hollyczuba.wordpress.com/2009/05/>.) i'm going to be
staying at my parents house for several months for financial and health
reasons. daisy is currently staying at her babysitters, but i can't keep
her there much longer and she can't be at my parents house. i'm looking for
somewhere that she can stay for free (probably for around 6 months). i'm
planning on paying for dog food/treats and vet stuff, i just need a foster
'family' for her that will get her some excersize and tlc. i'd really like
to put her with someone that i know, but a friend of a friend would be just
as good.
*
please get back to me quickly if you think you might be able to help out
because i am coming to the area this weekend (last minute plans) and could
meet up.

THANKS! -Holly
below is some info on daisy's quirks...

here's some info on Daisy:
pictures are attached, many league players know her as the dog you can't
look in the eyes (she's not nice to strangers-especially guys, i.e. she'll
jump and bark), but i have found that she is well behaved as long as there
are no humans around that she feels protective of (ie: me, my best friends,
etc). and i have also found that she 'gets used to' everyone, as she lived
with a friend (and several strangers) for a couple weeks when i was in the
ICU. she LOVES going running. i have taken her off leash on trails before,
but being a hound she really likes to go further away from the 'pack' than
makes me comfortable at times. and she'll roll in dead stuff and deer sh#t.
she is good living with other dogs, but i wouldn't be comfortable if she
were around children younger than high school. she is afraid of
thunderstorms and will climb into the bath tub. she LOVES to eat garbage
(all kinds) so that has to stay out of reach. And she's grown out of the
'chewing up' everything stage. She'll chew on bones if you give them to
her, but for the most part, if she gets a little bit of excersize she'll
sleep 90% of the day... She's also pretty trainable. I use a gentle leader
on her leash because she likes to pull.
