Hi, everyone,
Please forgive the off-topic post, but I know that a lot of you do
programming/development and some might be looking for work. If you meet
those criteria, you may want to read on.

Subject: seeking database developer (Access or QPL/php/mysql)
Dear colleagues,
Please share this job announcement with anyone you know who might qualify.
My apologies for any cross-postings.
A research team at the UNC dental school is looking for a contract
developer (or state employee whose position has room for additional
work/funding) who can quickly develop a solid database to be deployed on
multiple laptops carried by field interviewers. They are looking to start
data collection in June.
Applicants should be responsive to the data needs of researchers and be
able to design the user interface in such a way that minimizes the
possibility of missing data or user error. May also be required to deploy
the database to laptops, implement data extraction and merging, and/or
participate in testing. Likely software platforms: Microsoft
Access/Windows or QPL/php/mysql/apache/(linux/Windows).
Wondering what QPL is? <http://qpl.gao.gov/>
The contact person is Leslie Zeldin <leslie_zeldin at unc.edu>.
Thank you,
Alan
