In the 11th century a visionary lived on the southern Polynesian islands
with the name of Bubba. The Polynesians believed, back then, every year
you survived must be seen as a victory. It was thus customary for the
people of the islands to call past years one survived Victors.

So Bubby predicted that sometime in the 20th century the gods will send
down a person, which will be born on the first day of the New Year with
the name of Victor. This person will be seen as some sort of a world
wonder for surviving another year and should bring inspiration to all
those that doesn't know if they can survive another.

So, as we enter the new year, let's congratulate ourselves of earning
another Victor, and thank Victor for sacrificing his birthday to be on
the first day of the New Year.

Thanks,

Bubba's ancestral son
