TFDA has long tried to bolster youth ultimate in the area, but volunteer efforts (while most often
successful) have been scattershot and have never coalesced into an ongoing structure.

Independently of TFDA a new ultimate organization has risen up to foster high school ultimate: the
Triangle High School Ultimate Association (THSUA, pronounced thuh-SOO-uh). THSUA has as its
primary goal the establishment and maintenance of Fall and Spring Ultimate Seasons, along with at
least two annual high school tournaments for all THSUA teams. Local high schools currently
participating in THSUA’s development are:

Cardinal Gibbons
Cary High School
Garner High School
Jordan High School
N.C. Science and Math
Ravenscroft

THSUA is beginning this summer to spread the word of its endeavors by hosting six summer camps.
Enrollment of participants and coaches is underway.

Players who would like to participate as coaches, contact Cameron Cockman (brushfire22 at gmail.com
or cockers at thsua.org).

Players knowing of high schoolers (or middle schoolers) seeking to learn more about the game,
inform them of these camps, and have them get in touch with Cameron Cockman or visit THSUA.org for
more details. Here’s the current scoop about these camps...
