FYI, I started out with RMI when it first came out, since I wanted to replace
my own RMI-style system.
RMI is similar to Metro, since there are a lot of nitty-gritty details in the
classloading and such, and initially there were literally zero information
about it. BUT, Adrian Colley at Sun spent enough time on me to get going (via
the RMI-users mailing list) and then I took the opportunity to teach others
as soon as I could. Whenever I was wrong (plenty) Adrian (typically) would
step in and say, "Sorry, you got that wrong" which increased my understanding
rapidly.

I called it "Learn by Teaching" and it works, but only if there are 'watchful
eyes' making sure one doesn't feed the poor suckers misinformation.

Cheers
Niclas

P.S. Now when Subversion, Issuetracking and mailing lists are coming together,
I will be looking into a registration process, so people can get access
easily to the repo.
