I get no output whatsoever. Here's a session:
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd status
proftpd: /usr/sbin/proftpd is not running
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd start
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd status
proftpd: /usr/sbin/proftpd is not running
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd stop
proftpd: Stopping proftpd...
proftpd: success
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# proftpd
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd status
proftpd: is running with Process ID(s) 10959
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd start
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd status
proftpd: is running with Process ID(s) 10959
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd stop
proftpd: Stopping proftpd...
proftpd: success
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd status
proftpd: /usr/sbin/proftpd is not running
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d# telinit run proftpd start
root at blackcat:/etc/init.d#
I get the same problem with apache, postfix (which I haven't recast yet), and
sshd. All of these I can start directly or with the old script.
