           Summary: in php: --with-curlwrappers seems to break
                    `file_get_contents()`
           Product: Codex
           Version: test grimoire
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P4
         Component: php-pear
        AssignedTo: sm-grimoire-bugs at lists.ibiblio.org
        ReportedBy: Matt at UberClark.us

I recently had a problem with the php function `file_get_contents()` not
working; it would report "Couldn't resolve host name..." and "failed to open
stream: Success".

I had previously compiled php, and answered Y to "Do you want to use cURL for
URL streams in core PHP functions?". So, in an effort to resolve this, I
recast php and answerd N. Now file_get_contents() works.

I wonder what else could be broken... Can anyone else confirm this?
